Welcome to my ePortfolio. I am John Duah, an Assistant Professor at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. After completing my first year of teaching, I am embarking on my second year with a renewed commitment to fostering a dynamic and rewarding experience for students in the classroom and through innovative research. I currently teach Healthcare Management and Leadership - Writing Enriched (HADM 4000) and Health Care Policy (HADM 3300), and I taught Medical Terminology (HADM 2100) this past summer.
My transition into academia was a deliberate choice, driven by a commitment to excellence in teaching, meaningful research, and community engagement. I am motivated by a passion for transforming lives, shaping future healthcare professionals, and building thriving communities. Through public health science, I strive to benefit society by addressing health disparities and promoting healthier, safer communities.
In addition to my academic role, I anticipate offering consulting services in areas such as health infrastructure development, health systems strengthening, maternal and infant health, and public health emergency preparedness. These consulting services will commence soon, allowing me to contribute to these critical areas.
Beyond academia, I find balance and fulfillment in traveling with my family and participating in community outreach initiatives. These activities allow me to give back and contribute to a better society.
