Welcome to my ePortfolio. I am Dr. John K. Duah, an Assistant Professor of Health Services Administration at Auburn University. With expertise in maternal and child health, infectious disease surveillance, health systems strengthening, and public health preparedness, my work blends policy analysis and epidemiology to address healthcare disparities and improve equitable access.
Having completed my second year of teaching, I’m excited to begin my third year with fresh energy and a commitment to engaging students in dynamic learning experiences. I currently teach Healthcare Management and Leadership - Writing Enriched (HADM 4000), Health Care Policy (HADM 3300), and Medical Terminology (HADM 2100).
Through my courses, I aim to provide students with the practical tools and insights they need to tackle real-world healthcare challenges with confidence. In addition to my academic work, I am developing consulting services focused on maternal and infant health, health infrastructure development, health systems strengthening, and public health emergency preparedness.
My experience working in infectious disease response, epidemiology, and policy analysis will shape these services, allowing me to contribute actionable solutions to pressing health challenges. Aside from my professional life, I love traveling with my family and staying involved in community outreach, ensuring that my work remains rooted in real-world impact.
